Limit Cycles for Cubic Systems with a Symmetry of Order 4 and without Infinite Critical Points
In this paper we study those cubic systems which are invariant under a rotation of 2π/4 radians. They are written as ż = εz + p z2z̄ − z̄3, where z is complex, the time is real, and ε = ε1+ iε2, p = p1+ ip2 are complex parameters. When they have some critical points at infinity, i.e. |p2| ≤ 1, it is well-known that they can have at most one (hyperbolic) limit cycle which surrounds the origin. On ...

China Full list of author information is available at the end of the article Abstract For a class of fifth degree nilpotent system, the shortened expressions of the first eight quasi-Lyapunov constants are presented. It is shown that the orig...
متن کاملThe Number and Distributions of Limit Cycles for a Class of Quintic Near-Hamiltonian Systems
This paper concerns with the number of limit cycles for a cubic Hamiltonian system under cubic perturbation. The fact that there exist 9–11 limit cycles is proved. The different distributions of limit cycles are given by using methods of bifurcation theory and qualitative analysis, among which two distributions of eleven limit cycles are new. 2005 Elsevier Inc. and Applied Analysis 3 Thus, the origin of system (13) is an element critical point. It could be investigated using the classical integral factor method. Now, we consider the following system: dx dt = y + A30x3n + A21x2ny + A12xny2 + A03y3, dy dt = −x2n−1 + xn−1 (B30x3n + B21x2ny + B12xny2 + B03y3) . (14) When n = 2k + 1, by those transformations, system (14) is changed into dx dt = −y − √2k + ...
متن کاملRelationships between Darboux Integrability and Limit Cycles for a Class of Able Equations
We consider the class of polynomial differential equation x&= , 2(,)(,)(,)nnmnmPxyPxyPxy++++2(,)(,)(,)nnmnmyQxyQxyQxy++&=++. For where and are homogeneous polynomials of degree i. Inside this class of polynomial differential equation we consider a subclass of Darboux integrable systems. Moreover, under additional conditions we proved such Darboux integrable systems can have at most 1 limit cycle.
